We are located in the extreme south of the Department of Dordogne (Le Périgord Noir) and we touch the Lot (46) Occitanie region. These 2 departments are very rich in heritage with many exceptional sites: caves, chasms, castles, rivers, etc.
But let's not forget the Lot et Garonne, another department very close to us with many sites to discover and a different habitat with these large country houses with flat roofs and covered in canal tiles.
The circuit of the bastides over a day towards Lot et Garonne: Montpazier and Château de Biron (24) then Villeréal, Montflanquin, Château de Bonaguil (47), return via Villefranche du Périgord (24) or sometimes the pleasant surprise of a push of porcini mushrooms and the opening of the market under the market at the end of the afternoon.
